Cary was the WH Press Secretary until, motivated by his own political beliefs, he left to work for Peter, the leading candidate against Diane for the next Democratic presidential nomination. While Zach works as an intern for his father’s campaign, Grace becomes a volunteer for the Women’s Leadership Coalition after she accidentally publicly reveals Peter’s request that Alicia quit her job to support his candidacy.
